Radar at this time shows showers with embedded thunderstorms becoming more widespread across the area:

Currently the outlook from the Storm Prediction Center keeps only northeast Alabama under the Marginal Risk, this is because they have had slightly more sunshine and there more instability:

Analysis of the atmosphere shows limited CAPE and shear, but around 1.5″ PWAT values (how moist the atmosphere is), so thinking that thunderstorms will only be embedded with only heavy rains and winds staying to below 40 MPH.
