The Team is actively watching the potential for bone-chilling temperatures this weekend as well as the potential for wintry mixed precipitation including snow. As of now overall confidence is low due to model differences and overall low confidence from the Weather Service.
As of right now there is higher confidence that temperatures will drop rapidly beginning in middle Tennessee with a gradual trend to the south. As of this writing there are no active Advisories in effect due to the low confidence, however a discuss from NWS Birmingham does indicate that highest potential for any wintry mixed precip is across their northern teir of counties. At the moment, NWS Huntsville says the potential is across the far southeastern counties (I-59). We will continue to monitor this system and bring you updates as soon as we get them. The best way to stay up-to-date is by keeping up with out Outlook.
